The YMCA of Florida’s First Coast invites the community to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Healthy Kids Day leading up to and on Saturday, April 30. Healthy Kids Day is a free community event and nationwide initiative that inspires kids and families to keep their minds and bodies active through fun activities and resources to achieve their fullest potential throughout the year.
“At the Y, we believe in the potential of all children and each day we work to help kids find that potential within themselves,” said Candace Burrows, First Coast YMCA associate vice president of day camp, family programs and community engagement. “Healthy Kids Day is a great way to kick off summer and provides a fun opportunity that reminds our community how important it is to motivate kids to stay active physically and mentally throughout the summer months.”
This year’s Healthy Kids Day will feature fun-filled games and activities such as cooking workshops, arts and crafts, group exercise classes, multi-sport and swim demos, family Zumba and more.

There will also be face painting, a bounce house, and Esports open house and more.

For 30 years, the YMCA’s Healthy Kids Day has celebrated kids’ mental and physical health, while teaching healthy habits for kids and families, encouraging active play and inspiring a lifetime love of physical activity.
