Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Florida Network Realty is continuing its longstanding tradition of giving back to the community this holiday season.

Along with Luminaria 2017 on Sunday, Dec. 17, benefitting local neighborhood charities, company associates throughout Northeast Florida are supporting additional initiatives to make the holidays brighter for those in need.

“The holidays serve as an important reminder of how blessed we are, and our agents and employees are grateful to be in a position to help others,” said Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Florida Network Realty Founder, President and CEO Linda Sherrer. “We love that the holiday season provides many opportunities to spread cheer and make a positive difference in the lives of many local children and families.”

During the holiday season, realtors and employees in the company’s branch offices donate time, talent and financial support to many community initiatives. Here’s a look at some of the charities and events Berkshire Hathaway is involved with this season:

Avondale/San Marco: Through Dec. 21, associates are purchasing toys and gifts for children supported by Holiday Helpers. The office is also collecting food donations for the Community Health Outreach Lord’s Pantry. Donations are accepted at the Avondale office, located at 3627 St. Johns Ave., Jacksonville, weekdays during normal business hours and on weekend from noon to 3 p.m. Call (904) 296-1737 for more information.

Beaches: Through Dec. 15, agents in the Beaches office are accepting donations to purchase holiday gifts ranging from bikes to games for students at Mayport Elementary School. The Beaches office is located at 375-1 Atlantic Blvd. in Atlantic Beach. Call (904) 241-2417 for more information.

Fleming Island: Through Dec. 15, associates in the Fleming Island office are collecting nonperishable items for the food pantry of Green Cove Springs. Through Dec. 14, the office is also collecting unwrapped toys for Toys for Tots. The Fleming Island office is located at 3535 Highway 17, Suite 10, in Fleming Island. Mandarin: The Mandarin office, located at 11576 San Jose Blvd. in Jacksonville, is a drop-off location for Toys for Tots and local food banks, supporting other branch offices’ collections. Call (904) 260-4300 for more information.

St. Augustine/Murabella/World Golf Village: Through Dec. 23, the St. Augustine and Murabella/World Golf Village offices are collecting food and donations for the St. Francis House in St. Augustine and Pie in the Sky in Hastings. They are also collecting toys for the Sertoma Club of St. Augustine. The St. Augustine office is located in the SeaGrove Town Center in St. Augustine Beach, and the Murabella office is located in the Shoppes at Murabella on State Road 16.
