Bryan Collier Goode, Jr. passed away April 9, 2024, after a long battle with dementia. He was born December 20, 1935, in Montgomery, AL to Bryan Collier Goode, Sr. and Catherine McSwain Goode. Bryan attended Lanier High School and Auburn University and graduated with a major in engineering physics. He was a member of the Sigma Nu Fraternity. Bryan spent a brief time as an officer in the Army after his four years at R.O.T.C at Auburn. Following the military, he had a long career in the area of medical and X-ray technology. In addition to Bryan's career, he was elected to the Clearwater, FL school board, was a local campaign manager for a U.S. Representative of Congress, and a member of the Ponte Vedra Rotary.

Bryan was the loving patriarch of his family and prior to his illness, he lived his life as a spiritual, conservative, honest, generous, family man. He was the consummate curious engineer at heart, always interested in how things worked. Across Bryan’s five decades in the diagnostic imaging industry, he was the CEO of several large companies and in “retirement” became an entrepreneur starting his own successful business. Bryan was a friend, mentor, and leader whose life touched and influenced many people. While we celebrate his memory and his life, he will be missed dearly.

Bryan is survived by his son, Bryan Collier ‘Tripp’ Goode, III (Sandra); daughter, Sandra Allison Sternberg (James); grandchildren, Chloe and Claire Goode, and Jack Sternberg; and many nieces and nephews. Bryan was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Sandra Permenter Goode and daughter, Nancy Melissa Goode.

A Celebration of Life service will be held Friday, April 19, at 3 p.m. at Palms Presbyterian Church, 3410 S. 3rd Street, Jacksonville Beach.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Beaches Emergency Assistance Ministry (BEAM), 850 6th Avenue S., Suite 400, Jacksonville Beach, FL 32250 (www.jaxbeam.org/donate).
