Mother’s Day Tea Party

The Lightner Museum is offering moms an unforgettable Mother’s Day experience in the Hotel Alcazar historic swimming pool.

Enjoy a gourmet selection of tea, sandwiches, scones and desserts made in-house by Chef Natalie. Tea times are at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Sunday, May 8. Admission to the museum is included in the ticket.

Tickets are $70 per person and must be purchased in advance. Seating is limited. If you are purchasing a single ticket but would like to be seated with a group, email angela@lightnermuseum.org.

Lightner Museum Store offers unique gift ideas

The Lightner Museum Store is filled with fun and creative items that make great Mother’s Day gifts. Here are a few ideas:

• Custom tea blends — The store carries a line of custom tea blends in three varieties, each inspired by the history of the Hotel Alcazar and the Lightner Museum collection.
• Handheld folding fans — Handmade in Spain from cotton and polished wood, these beautifully designed fans are the perfect gift to help mom stay cool through the spring and summer months.
• Lightner Museum candles — Crafted by local candlemaker Poured Goods, these candles inspired by the historic building and collection are available in 10 different styles and scents.

MOM-osa party planned

Painting with a Twist is planning a Mother’s Day MOM-osa party for 1-3 p.m. Sunday, May 8.

Participants will have a great time dancing, laughing and drinking MOMosas. They’ll also paint works of art to take home with them.

The instructor will be Amy Dix, and the event is for those age 18 and older. Cost is $45. For more information or to book a spot, go to paintingwithatwist.com/studio/ponte-vedra-beach/event/3031979.

All refreshments are BYO, and participants must be at least 21 years old to consume alcohol in the studio. Organizers suggest participants arrive at least 15-20 minutes early “to get uncorked, smocked and in your seat.”

Masks are optional. Disposable aprons and hand sanitizer will be available upon request.
