Mission House partners with Art 4 Charities

Mission House is the newest nonprofit organization to partner with Ponte Vedra-based Art 4 Charities.

Through the Charity Benefits Program, the Jacksonville Beach homeless day facility will receive 40 percent of the proceeds of any artwork purchased from Art 4 Charities by Mission House supporters.

“This can be quite a nice little fundraiser for a nonprofit,” said Diane Machaby, director of charity fundraising for Art 4 Charities. “My husband and I try to make raising money and holding fundraising events as easy as we possibly can for the charity.”

Mission House Executive Director Lori Anderson said she recently heard about Art 4 Charities and was excited to learn more about its mission to help charities worldwide.

“Art 4 Charities is such a wonderful and practical opportunity for Mission House,” Anderson said. “The selection of art is wonderful, and Diane and Terry are so generous to do this. We are so blessed to be a part of this project that will assist us in our efforts to assist those who find themselves homeless at the Beach to obtain a roof over their head.”

Founded earlier this year by Machaby and her husband, Terry, Art 4 Charities makes art available for sale on its website (www.art4charities.net) as well as through home art parties, where hosts can designate which charity receives up to 40 percent of the proceeds of all art sales. Recently, for example, a Ponte Vedra couple hosted a home art show to benefit Crosswater Community Church’s “The Future is Now” campaign.

“Everyone who attended said they were very impressed with the quality of the artwork and the silent auction items,” Machaby said. “They also liked the door prize drawings they received as well.”
