The Ponte Vedra girls’ and boys’ tennis teams played in the Class 2A District 4 tennis playoffs at the Bolles School last week, and both teams advanced to regional action in early April.
The Shark boys finished first in the tournament, defeating Menendez, while the Lady Sharks finished in second place behind Bolles.Singles final winners for the Ponte Vedra boys were Eric Gravelle, 6-1, 6-2 over Ridgeview and Chris Hewlett, 6-0, 6-3 over Ridgeview.
In boys’ doubles final play, Hunter Law and Davis Massey teamed up to beat Bolles, 6-7, 7-6, (12-10).

Ashton Hanigan of Bolles School defeated Claire Olson of Ponte Vedra 6-2, 6-3

Summer Schrener of Bolles School defeated Kendall McCall of Ponte Vedra 6-1, 6-2
Lily Edwards of Bolles School defeated Alyssa Hensley of Ponte Vedra 6-2, 4-6 (10-5)
