Riddle Wellness officially joined the St. Johns County Chamber of Commerce Ponte Vedra Beach Division with a ribbon cutting ceremony Feb. 1.

The business is located at 151 Sawgrass Corners Drive, Suite 201 in Ponte Vedra Beach and was started by Dr. Nathan Riddle who moved with his family from Rochester, New York to the area in July.

He still has a practice in Rochester, which he has had for 15 years, although he has shifted his focus toward growing the Ponte Vedra Beach location.

“Our dream was to always move to Florida,” Riddle said. “I love golf and I always knew about TPC and Sawgrass. The Southern hospitality we’ve felt has been very nice to experience.”

Riddle is excited to be part of the Chamber and is ready to connect and grow those relationships with the local community even more.

As a chiropractor he sees patients dealing with an array of ailments and conditions, but many of his patients have neuropathy and are faced with progressive nerve damage, especially to the hands and feet.

According to Riddle, this can lead to numbness and pain in those areas. Numbness in the feet can increase the risk of stumbling, which could result in falling and even further serious injury.

“There are more than 100 different causes for neuropathy, but we have developed a four-part approach to handling it.”

However, Riddle also helps anyone dealing with back and neck pain or spinal disk decompression. He also uses sound wave technology to help with people dealing with osteoporosis and knee pain.

The methods he uses are aimed to be more natural and less medical, which is something he truly believes in, and the reason he wanted to make sure wellness was in the name of the business.

“This is a wellness revolution that’s going on,” Riddle said. “People are sick and tired of being sick and tired.”

He also understands that there are aspects of the medical world that can be very helpful when mixed with the more natural ways of finding wellness.

“I love to integrate with medical doctors when I get the chance, and they have been very interested in the results that we get,” Riddle said.

Being personal and getting to know his patients is all part of the family atmosphere and vibe he looks to create in his practices.

“All my patients get my phone number and we’re always talking back and forth,” Riddle said. “I just love helping people and being there for them when they need my help.”

The yearning to offer assistance to those in need is something that he has had from an early age.

“I’ve always had a passion for empathy,” Riddle said. “It was something that my mother instilled in me. There are hundreds of chiropractors out there and we all practice very differently.”

Riddle Wellness works with people that have insurance, but also offers payment plans for those that do not.

Offering free health screenings and health talks are other ways that Riddle demonstrates his passion for community outreach.
