River Garden Senior Services has had a lot of good news recently.

Betty Sorna, chief financial officer and senior associate administrator, was named the Association of Jewish Aging Services (AJAS) Professional of the Year on March 21 during the 2023 AJAS Annual Conference.

The award is given to honor and recognize an outstanding AJAS professional who reflects the highest standards of knowledge and expertise, has shown exceptional leadership and is highly respected by the staff, residents and families served.

Sorna’s responsibilities span four interrelated not-for-profit corporations: River Garden Senior Services, River Garden Hebrew Home, The Coves at River Garden and River Garden Foundation.
