RecruitMilitary and Disabled American Veterans (DAV) will host an All Veterans Career Fair Thursday, Dec. 1 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at EverBank Field.
The career fair will be a free hiring event for veterans, transitioning military personnel, National Guard members, Reserve members and spouses.
The mission of RecruitMilitary is to help employers connect with veterans and support veterans during their job search. The organization, which offers its services free of charge to veterans and their spouses, has held 23 events in Jacksonville, drawing 9,811 attendees and 754 exhibitors.
“RecruitMilitary job fairs maintain a track record of helping veterans find meaningful employment,” President and CEO Peter Gudmundsson said. “Just last year, 56 percent of veteran job seekers expected to secure an interview as a result of their participation in a RecruitMilitary job fair and employers were expected to extend as many as 38,700 interviews and more than 12,000 job offers.”
