BODYBAR Pilates Nocatee is preparing to open their doors at the end of August. Husband-and-wife franchise owners, Stephanie and Logan Ridley, are excited to bring Reformer Pilates to the area. BODYBAR Pilates Nocatee is community-driven and offers classes to suit every level from beginner to advanced.
Ridley first attended Pilates classes 15 years ago when she lived in Virginia Beach and it quickly became a part of her lifestyle. Both Ridley and her husband took Reformer Pilates while they were in physical therapy recovering from sports injuries. Reformer Pilates is a low impact, but effective and challenging workout.
After moving to Nocatee, the couple agreed that the area needed a Reformer Pilates studio. They looked into different brands and came across BODYBAR Pilates. Their values aligned immediately and they were drawn to BODYBAR’S welcoming community. The Ridleys have a franchise in Mandarin that opened a year ago, and plan to keep expanding in the Jacksonville area.
BODYBAR Pilates Nocatee offers seven different classes for every fitness level. Their Precision class helps participants to master the foundations of Pilates by learning proper form and technique. The Performance class is designed to build strength and increase endurance. Combining foundations of Pilates with progressive resistance in the Strength class helps build resilience. The Agility class tests cardio limits with the jump board and reformer. Members focus on flexibility and muscle endurance in the Reset class. Balance 40 is a recovery-focused class that improves flexibility and stability. BODYBAR Pilates Nocatee truly has something for everyone.
When asked what she likes best about what she does, Ridley said that she loves connecting with people. It makes her day when a student tells her how Reformer Pilates has changed their life. The positive environment is contagious, and all of the staff members are kind and encouraging.
Ridley advises Pilates beginners to simply show up. Starting something new can feel intimidating at first, but it’s very rewarding. “Take a leap, come check out a class,” she said. To stay up to date on the grand opening and to learn more, visit their Facebook page.
