Students from the Bolles Lower School Ponte Vedra Beach campus took a holiday road trip Nov. 30 to see a seasonal array of gingerbread houses in downtown Jacksonville.
Pre-K students enjoyed a tour of the 15th annual Gingerbread House Extravaganza display at the Jacksonville Historical Society headquarters in the historic Old St. Andrews church building. The event featured edible gingerbread houses built by local groups and residents, including a structure designed by Ponte Vedra Beach campus mother Kim Walton.
The event also featured themed trees throughout the hall. The angel tree designed by Bolles supporter Betsy Lovett was the event's centerpiece.
Following the morning field trip, students returned to school to finish their day.
