Boys at Rodeheaver Boys Ranch take trip to Islands of Adventure thanks to support of Firehouse Subs

The boys residing at Rodeheaver Boys Ranch (RBR) recently enjoyed the thrills of a day at Islands of Adventure in Orlando thanks to Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation (Jacksonville).

The memorable visit included 37 boys, plus dozens of chaperones who enjoyed an entire day at the park at Universal. Firehouse Subs provided the tickets for the park in addition to all accommodations, including the gas to travel and Firehouse Subs meals for all who attended.

Rodeheaver Boys Ranch has been providing complete care for up to 50 disadvantaged boys at a time for over 68 years, helping thousands of boys since 1950. The Ranch sits on 800 acres located on the St. Johns River in Palatka. Children make their way to RBR because they have no home of their own due to parental death, desertion, divorce, disability or dysfunction. The boys come from difficult backgrounds and the organization believes, “It is better to build boys than to mend men.”

Rodeheaver Boys Ranch and Rodeheaver Foundation are both 501c3 nonprofits that do not receive any government funding, and rely solely on grants, events and private donations.
