Chabad at the Beaches will hold its annual gala June 5 at the One Ocean Resort in Atlantic Beach.
Celebrating 13 years in the Ponte Vedra and Jacksonville Beach community, the dinner will honor the educational and social work of Chabad worldwide and coincide with the anniversary of Aaron Scharf’s passing. Scharf was president of the Jacksonville Jewish Federation, and he and his late wife are the namesake of the Aaron and Blanche Scharf Center for Jewish Life.
Rabbi and Mrs. Yoseph will be honored for the Pillar of the Community Award, Samantha Gilbert will be honored for the Community Service Award and Daniel Levy will be honored for the Leadership Award. Actor, comedian and professor Reuven Russell will also make an appearance.
Chabad will also host its fifth annual Chinese and silent auctions during dinner where prizes such as jewelry and amusement park passes will be auctioned off. Raffles for Super Bowl, Masters Tournament and Grammy Award Show tickets will also take place. Bids and tickets can be placed and bought at www.WinWithChabad.com.
