The Creekside Knights continued their strong season as they defeated the Atlantic Coast Stingrays 46-0 on Friday, Oct. 9.

Knights quarterback Rozzi Sperry threw for 39 yards, and Creekside’s defense had another strong performance.

Creekside is now 5-2 overall and 3-0 in district play. They will be on the road on Friday, Oct. 16, to take on the Flagler Palm Coast Bulldogs.

The Nease Panthers won their first road game of the season on Oct. 9 over the Fletcher Senators with a final score of 31-27.

Panthers quarterback Aiden Phifer threw for 293 yards and three touchdowns. Tyshawn Ford and Jack Hoover also had big performances for the Panthers. Ford gained 136 yards and two touchdowns while Hoover picked up 74 receiving yards.

Nease has now won four out of their last five games. The Panthers will go back on the road on Oct. 16 to take on the Bartram Trail Bears.

The Ponte Vedra Sharks lost in the Shark Tank to the Mandarin Mustangs 34-10 on Oct. 9.

The Mustangs jumped out to a 14-0 lead in the first quarter, and it did not look like the Sharks had an answer.

Ponte Vedra did make it on the scoreboard late in the first half when Noah Ash kicked a 50-yard field goal to make the score 14-3 going into halftime.

The second half belonged to the Mustangs as they got two interceptions early in the third quarter and converted both to scores. In the end, Mandarin’s defense was too much for Ponte Vedra to handle as they limited the Sharks to 123 total yards.

Sharks quarterback Carter Sole threw for 47 yards and one touchdown, and Alex Winkles rushed for 28 yards.

As the Sharks continue to battle injuries, they will take on the Senators at home on Oct. 16.
