On Thursday, Sept. 17, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., the Cummer Museum of Art & Gardens will host a timely and engaging panel discussion centered on how artificial intelligence (A.I.) is transforming the way we create, interpret and experience art and the world around us.
The discussion will tackle questions about how A.I. is shaping creative practice, public policy and daily life — and how artists, scholars and cultural leaders are responding to this rapidly changing landscape.
Panelists include professor and artist Bill Hill, executive director of the STEAM Institute, Jacksonville University; Dr. Josh Gellers, dean of professional and lifelong learning and Faculty Fellow of A.I., University of North Florida; and Kim Kuta Dring, director of learning and engagement, Cummer Museum of Art & Gardens. The conversation will be moderated by Kimberly Noble, George W. and Kathleen I. Gibbs director and CEO of the Cummer Museum of Art & Gardens.
Tickets for the panel discussion are $25 for museum members, and $40 for nonmembers. This event takes place on Free Third Thursday, meaning museum admission is free from 4 to 8 p.m. Go to cummermuseum.org/event/ai-creativity-and-the-human-experience to register.
“A.I., Creativity, and the Human Experience” will be held in Hixon Auditorium. The Cummer Museum of Art & Gardens is located at 829 Riverside Ave, Jacksonville.
