The link in Nocatee will usher in the holidays Saturday, Nov. 22, with its second annual Festival of Trees, in partnership with To The Moon Party Designs.
This free charity event will feature beautiful holiday trees sponsored and decorated by various local groups, businesses and organizations and displayed in the main lobby. There will be a silent tree auction, with trees available for bidding until Sunday, Nov. 23.
The event begins at 4 p.m., and free photos with Santa will be offered in the Flagler Health+ 360 Immersive Studio.
In addition, there will be live musical performances, kids’ crafts and activities, Christmas treats and drinks, a local makers’ holiday market where visitors will find unique and often handcrafted gifts and more.
Proceeds from the purchase of a tree will benefit the sponsor’s nonprofit organization of choice.
Last year’s inaugural event was first proposed by Jessica Chard of To The Moon Party Designs, a business that creates dazzling balloon installations for a wide range of events. Chard launched her business in 2021, and it has since been a winner in The Recorder’s Best of Ponte Vedra event and was named the St. Johns County Chamber of Commerce’s Small Business of the Year.
Chard is looking forward to this year’s festival.
“Anything that gathers the community is always really exciting for me, especially around the holidays,” she said. “We’re giving them a wholesome, family, holiday experience.”
She called attention to the charitable aspect of the sponsorship and auction of the trees.
“We’re highlighting local businesses and organizations while simultaneously benefitting charities that are very important to our local community,” she said.
