Ocean Beaches American Legion Auxiliary Unit 129 and American Legion Post 129 of Jacksonville Beach were happy to take the pledge on 911day.org to give to their community in remembrance of the tragic events on Sept. 11, 2001.
Ponte Vedra Tropical Smoothie donated 14 box lunches for Engine 71 and Engine 60. The family of 129 also made 90 box lunches for the Jacksonville Beach Police Department. Volunteers from 129 included Commander Joe Maichle, President Cindy Jordan, Wanda Brandt, with membership and Candace Mabry, community service chairman.
