Christmas in July at Wolfson Children’s, presented by Subaru of Jacksonville, is back.
All month long, the community is invited to help bring comfort and joy to children receiving care at Wolfson Children’s Hospital.
Toy donations typically pour in during the holiday season, but hospital stays happen year-round. By summer, toy shelves are often running low, and for children missing out on camp, vacations and time with friends, a new toy or activity can make a meaningful difference.
This annual toy and donation drive helps restock supplies so Child Life specialists can continue providing comfort, distraction and moments of joy throughout the year. Every donation helps create moments of joy when children need them most.
The drive is going on now and will continue through July 31.
Members of the community can shop Wolfson Children’s Amazon wish list, filled with toys specially selected by the Child Life team, or make a financial gift at ChristmasJuly.com.
This year, the team is especially in need of sensory toys, arts and crafts and items for the hospital’s Facility Dog program. Small-denomination gift cards are also being accepted. These gift cards — like those from Starbucks, Uber Eats, Publix — serve as rewards for teens and helpful support for patient families.
To learn more or start giving, go to ChristmasJuly.com. Gift card drop-offs can be scheduled directly with the auxiliary office at 904-202-8008, or they can be sent electronically to Child.Life@bmcjax.com.
