Senior wide receiver Tyshawn Ford also had a strong game for Nease with a safety kick return for big yardage and a touchdown.

In the end, the Commanders came out on top with a final score of 30-23.

The Panthers will return to the field on Friday, Aug. 21, to take on the Creekside Knights.

The Ponte Vedra Sharks fell to the St. Augustine Yellow Jackets on Friday, Aug. 14, with a final score of 40-7.

The Knights started the game off strong with a couple of field goals to take a 6-0 lead. Senior cornerback Trent Porter had a strong game for Creekside with an interception in the game.

The game turned out to be a tough defensive battle, but in the end the Mustangs gained the 21-6 victory.

Creekside will take on Nease on Aug. 21.

The Beachside Barracudas made it into the win column with a 34-3 victory over the Atlantic Coast Stingrays.

Nathaniel Blaylock and Brennan Monaco both had touchdowns in the game for Beachside.
