Howard William Haga

Howard William Haga passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of June 3, 2025. He is survived by his beloved wife of 43 years, Ellen, his children: Kate (David) Lambert, Will (Claire) Haga, Howard Jr., and Clare (Alan) Conrad, and two siblings: Steve (Karen) Haga and Jan (Gary) Galloway.

Howard was born on September 5, 1956, in Roanoke, Virginia, to Donald Stephen Haga Sr. and Barbara Marie (Casada) Haga. He graduated from Patrick Henry High School and went on to attend Virginia Tech, where he was a founding member of the Kappa Alpha fraternity. He spent 36 years working for Norfolk Southern and CSX, a career that eventually brought him to Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, where he happily retired.

Howard was a devoted husband, a loving and supportive father, and a loyal friend to all who knew him.

A funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, on Saturday, June 14, at 2 p.m., with a Rosary beginning at 1:30 p.m. for those who wish to participate.
