The Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp hosted their Fall Festival at VyStar Ballpark on Friday, Oct. 16. The fall festival was presented by Fun 4 First Coast Kids.
This was the second year the Jumbo Shrimp hosted a fall festival, and this year they added new attractions including the haunted clubhouse and a pumpkin patch. Other attractions included trick-or-treating on the concourse and pictures with the Jumbo Shrimp mascots. During the event, Halloween movies were played on the HD videoboard at the ballpark.
The entry fee for the fall festival was $1 per person, and there were more than 2,000 people in attendance. Director of Broadcasting Scott Kornberg said the Jumbo Shrimp are committed to staying active in the community.
“Events like this are incredibly important for our mission of affordable family fun,” said Kornberg.
The Jumbo Shrimp just wrapped up their season, but there will be plenty of exciting things going on at the ballpark during the offseason. The team will be announcing the date for their Shrimpy Christmas event soon and will also be looking to host movie nights throughout the offseason.
“We try to utilize our ballpark beyond just baseball games, and these sorts of community events absolutely provide a way to do that while continuing to show our organization’s commitment to providing fun and memorable experiences at the ballpark,” said Kornberg.
The Jumbo Shrimp will also be hosting a watch party in conjunction with the Jacksonville Jaguars on Nov. 5 when the Jaguars take on the Baltimore Ravens.
Along with community events, the Jumbo Shrimp also host private events including corporate meetings, holiday parties, etc. For more information, go to www.shrimpevents.com.
