Local Rotary district receives recognition for youth exchange efforts

Jeff Hart, chairman of Rotary Youth Exchange (RYE) District 6970, is shown accepting the Rotary/ NAYEN GOLD Certificate Award presented to District 6970 at the North American Youth Exchange Network Conference on March 15 in Omaha, Nebraska. RYE District 6970 was recognized for its commitment to excellence and dedication to continuous improvement. District 6970 has the largest number of exchange student participants within Rotary Youth Exchange Florida, Inc. Each year, over 9,000 high school students participate in the Rotary Youth Exchange program worldwide, learning a new language and experiencing a new culture, through the efforts of Rotary volunteers.
