Can’t decide between going to the Ponte Vedra Auto Show or watching the Jaguars on Sunday, Sept. 24?
Well thanks to MDM Commercial, you won’t have to.
The Ponte Vedra Beach-based company is serving as the entertainment sponsor for this year’s Auto Show. MDM was created in 1990, and initially based out of Jacksonville Beach. The company relocated its headquarters to St. Johns County 10 years ago, and MDM CEO Steve Austin said he thinks it’s a good idea to be involved with the local community, which led to the partnership with the Auto Show.
“It’s a good opportunity to meet people in other professions,” Austin said. “It’s nice to keep it close to home and get involved on a local level.”
MDM Commercial does most of its business nationally, working as the largest LG commercial television dealer in the country. The company has also recently expanded to the health care industry, providing specialized televisions and services for hospitals and other health provider facilities. Its goal in the health care industry is “solutions made simple,” which includes patient education and increased entertainment and personalized options.
For Austin, getting involved with the community isn’t just business though, it’s personal. His mother, Patricia Austin, formed the first advisory board for the Ronald McDonald House. After starting MDM, Steve Austin became involved in the Ronald McDonald House, and has continued to support the charity in honor of his mother, who passed away in 1996.
