Nease defeated Palatka 48-35 in their spring game on Friday.
New head coach Collin Drafts, who previously was the head coach of AC Flora High School in Columbia, South Carolina, led Nease to victory in front of a packed crowd.
The Panthers kept the lead for the majority of the game and maintained a strong defense and offense. The team hopes to take the energy from this win into the upcoming fall season. Nease takes on Ponte Vedra in their first game of the season on Aug. 23.
