St. Johns County surplus auction set for Sept. 6
St. Johns County has rescheduled its next live surplus auction to Sept. 6. It will be held at 2416 Dobbs Road, St. Augustine. The terms and conditions of the auction and details of the items available for purchase are available at www.geauction.com/event/no-date-set-sjc-surplus-vehicle-auction.
Access to the auction is free and open to the public. The auction will be held on Saturday, Sept. 6, with a preview starting at 7 a.m. and the live auction beginning at 9 a.m.
The auction’s early preview day will be Friday, Sept. 5, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The surplus auction will include vehicles, trailers, equipment and more. Great Expectations Auction & Estate Services is organizing the public auction.
Beach cleanup is Saturday
The Guana Tolomato Matanzas National Estuarine Research Reserve (GTM) will conduct a beach cleanup from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 23. Meet at the GTM Research Reserve Visitor Center, 505 Guana River Road, Ponte Vedra Beach, where gloves and trash bags will be provided. Participants will be directed to a specific beach for cleanup. Hat, insect repellent, water and sunscreen are recommended.
