Strawberry Festival set for Feb. 13
The Ponte Vedra Friday Farmers Market will host a Strawberry Festival from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Feb. 13 at Palm Valley Outdoors, 377 S. Roscoe Blvd., Ponte Vedra Beach.
There will be an abundance of fresh Florida strawberries in various quantities. There will also be strawberry-themed items, such as strawberry soaps, embroidered products, baked goods and more.
In addition, Palm Valley Outdoors restaurant will have strawberry drink specials, live music, a bounce house for the kids and plenty of parking.
The Ponte Vedra Friday Farmers Market takes place every Friday and offers fresh produce, local farm goods and a welcoming space to connect with neighbors and small businesses.
Make a Valentine’ gift
The First Coast Cultural Center will host a Valentine’s Clay Dish Workshop with Lani Freeman from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Jan. 31. Participants will be able to make a handmade gift for someone special. They will learn clay hand-building techniques, such as scoring and slipping and how to construct their clay dish. The instructor will glaze and fire each piece and return them. Items will be ready for pickup before Valentine’s Day.

Vicar’s Landing Boutique Sale is Feb. 3
Vicar’s Landing will conduct its Boutique Sale from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 3, at the Vicker's Landing Sawgrass community building, 1000 Vicker’s Landing Way. The sale features framed art, knick-knacks with many $1 items, antiques and household furnishings.

Innovation Symposium topic: Drones
The link will host The Sapna Foundation’s second Innovation Symposium at 6 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 29. Representatives from three regional companies will discuss their groundbreaking work using drones. The panel of experts will consist of Carl Miller, Robert Dahlstrom and Gordon Folkes. Drones are projected to be a $190 billion industry in the next eight years. Essential Tremor Support Group to meet
The Essential Tremor Support Group will meet at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 3, at Baptist HealthPlace in Nocatee, 400 Colonnade Drive, Ponte Vedra. This will be an informative session (by video) from Dr. Michael Johns (director of USC’s Voice Center and professor of otolaryngology). Democratic Club to meet
The Ponte Vedra Democratic Club will hold its monthly meeting at 6 p.m. Monday, Feb. 9, at Christ Episcopal Church, 400 San Juan Road, Ponte Vedra Beach. Dr. Rudy Jamison, executive director of the Human Rights Commission for the City of Jacksonville, will be the featured speaker.
