The Nocatee Welcome Center is the first stop for anyone looking to find out more about the master-planned community. The office offers resources such as interactive maps, tours and information about living in Nocatee. The most important resource, however, is the Welcome Center staff, who help newcomers get oriented. Each month, a different member of the Welcome Center team will be featured in this space.
This month’s featured representative is Kerry Hinote.
How long have you been with the Nocatee Welcome Center?
I have been with the Nocatee Welcome Center since November 2015. I’ve been able to witness a tremendous amount of development in Nocatee since November, and it’s been exciting to be part of the growth.
How does the experience differ from other places you’ve worked?
The entire team that makes up Nocatee – from The PARC Group to Nocatee’s Resident Services – feels like one big family. Everyone cares about one another in a very genuine way. If I had to describe the people I work with in one word I would say “integrity.”
You must meet hundreds of people a day – are there any new families in particular that you have a special memory of helping?
I have been very lucky to work with many incredible individuals and families. I enjoy getting to know prospects as they are starting the search for their new home. It is always a joy when someone whom I have helped comes in and tells me that they purchased in Nocatee.
What is something you’d like everyone to know that you love about your job?
Working in the Welcome Center does not feel like a job. I genuinely enjoy talking with people about all that Nocatee has to offer. Finding a new home is such a big life event, and it’s an honor to get to play a small role in helping in that journey.
What about the Nocatee community are you most passionate about?
Nocatee residents have such a strong sense of community. To me, that is one of the great things that makes Nocatee unique. There is always something exciting going on in Nocatee. Resident Services does a fantastic job of planning events that bring neighbors together. I know from speaking to residents that they go beyond that to plan events for their specific neighborhoods. Nocatee is very inclusive, and residents go out of their way to make Nocatee a great place to call home.
What does a typical work day look like for you?
No two days are ever the same! The only constant is that I spend time each day talking to prospects and Realtors about the Nocatee lifestyle.
What impact have you seen in the community with the work that you do as part of the Welcome Center staff?
Everyone in the Welcome Center firmly believes that it is a privilege to help prospects as they search for a new home. We are fortunate enough to play a part in Nocatee continuing to be the third best-selling community in the nation.
What are you most excited for when you go to work each morning?
The grounds in Nocatee are stunning. It’s always so calming to drive onto Nocatee property. It really does feel like ‘'I'm driving into a resort!
What is your favorite thing to do in Nocatee and why?
I love Nocatee-A-Glow! Christmas time is my favorite time of the year. Nocatee takes the holiday season to the next level. Splash Water Park is completely decked out with Christmas lights that are set to music. It can’t be beat!
In your spare time what sorts of things do you like to do?
I am a proud Florida State University alumna and love to watch and attend FSU football games. (Go Noles!) I enjoy volunteering at my church, spending time with family and friends, and working on DIY projects.
