Pak’s Ponte Vedra recently hosted quarterly belt testing for its Tang Soo Do students. The test, lasting three hours, had students at a variety of levels from beginners to advanced participating in their promotional exam.

In order to be eligible for promotion, students need to attend a minimum number of classes during the quarter, demonstrate knowledge of terminology, and a variety of techniques. Each student demonstrates a form, which reflects the techniques they should be proficient in.

Students who participated in the testing were Ian Lilkendy, Daniel Oswald, John Hamilton, Reid Norteman, Sabrina Lewis, Paden Pinder, Matthew DeMarco, Josh Deligero, Sam Lewis, Avery Sneed, Matt Accurso, Nick Salomon, Isaiah Haire, Sim Deligero, Seth Relampagos, Caleb Hobbs, Amelia Wilhelm, Maya Johnson, Vanessa Coopmans, Ava Pollock, Alan Lovett, Scott Lovett, Grayson Rigby, Vincent Coopmans, Mialani Soto, Rishiketh Reddy, Anya Sanghvi, Claire Miles, Raven Weston, Breanne Beaver, Erin Orlando, Ethan Orlando, Manu Nair, Kayla Shreve, Morgan Shreve, Sophie Eagan, John Deligero, Bobby Fletcher, Bryce Walker, Hanna Morrill, and Brianna Niles.

“I am very proud of how hard the students worked to get ready for this test,” school owner Bill DeGrafft said. “They did an awesome job and all earned their promotions. It was a very good test. We want to thank the students for their commitment to their training. We can’t forget to recognize the parents and the key role they play in making this such a success.”
