Author Talk: Ralph Little

“Three Cold Wars: A Vermont Citizen-Soldier’s Life In The Infantry”

Local author Lt. Col. Ralph Little will present compelling details of his father’s military career from 1936 to 1962, including audacious maneuvers in multiple theaters of war.

Lt. Col. R. V. Little Jr. (Ret.) presents his first commercial book, a military biography/history that explores his father’s military career. The author's own service in Vietnam and the Cold War as both an intelligence and infantry officer and a recognized eye for detail equip him well to interpret military life and combat actions.

Most of his more than 300 publications and major reports were published within the Defense Department and President’s Office of National Drug Control Policy or as a columnist for a local Jacksonville newspaper. His multiple national awards allude to significant contributions in the analysis of military forces and illicit drugs, as well as international arms control and national intelligence estimates. Published articles in the Army Times and U.S. Coast Guard Navigator attest to the breadth of his military orientation. He is a docent at the Camp Blanding Military Museum, site of his subject's first year of federal service.
