Price, Kamal sign letters of intent

A signing celebration was held Dec. 21 for two Ponte Vedra High School football players.

Senior Trooper Price, son of Steve and Jodie Price, signed a national letter of intent to play football at Colgate University.

Price was a two-year starter for the Sharks at linebacker. He made 114 tackles this past season. He finished his high school career with 444 tackles. He was an FACA all-district performer at linebacker this past season and was selected to play in the FACA All Star game.

Senior Kingston Kamal, son of Erin Schaal, signed a national letter of intent to play football at Southeast Missouri State University.

Kamal was a three-year starter for the Sharks at defensive end. He finished with an average of 4.8 tackles per game. His senior season was cut short due to an injury.

Both schools are NCAA Division 1 members of the championship subdivision.

Colgate University competes in the Patriot Conference. The Raiders boast 10 conference titles, 11 play-off appearances and one national title in their history.

Southeast Missouri State University competes in the Ohio Valley Conference. The Redhawks finished the 2022 season with a 9-3 record, a conference title and a national play-off appearance.

The signing celebration was held at Mr. Chubby’s Wings in Ponte Vedra Beach.
