In response to changing needs and resources in the community, plans are underway to relocate select lifelong learning programs from the COA Center at UF Health Nocatee to COA’s THE PLAYERS Community Senior Center, 175 Landrum Lane, in Ponte Vedra Beach, beginning Aug. 31.
Nocatee Center Coordinator Pam Brunell will continue to hold the center’s Caregiver Support group meetings at 1 p.m. Tuesdays at the center, located at 351 Town Plaza Ave., Suite 205, Ponte Vedra. Brunell will also continue to provide free caregiver needs assessments on a volunteer basis by appointment. To make an appointment, email caregiving@coasjc.org.
“We would like to express our sincerest thanks to UF Health Nocatee for providing the space for the center since its opening in 2020,” explained COA Executive Director Becky Yanni. “As a nonprofit organization, we are thankful for the support of local organizations, businesses and individual donors in support of our mission.”
COA operates five other centers located throughout St. Johns County including THE PLAYERS Community Senior Center (Ponte Vedra Beach), Coastal Community Center (St. Augustine), Hastings Community Senior Center (Hastings), Trout Creek Community Senior Center (Orangedale) and River House, COA’s lifelong learning center on the Matanzas River in downtown St. Augustine.
