PVHS club to support MCN with dance marathon

Posted

This month, nine students from Ponte Vedra High school went to the University of North Florida to learn how to host a Children’s Miracle Network Dance Marathon. The Children’s Miracle Network raises funds for local children’s hospitals, in part through dance marathons at universities and high schools across the country. Participants at the marathons play games and dance to raise money for 36 hours or more. The nine PVHS students are members of the new Children’s Miracle Network Club (CMNC) at PVHS. Those who attended the leadership retreat at UNF learned how to successfully advertise and organize a dance marathon.

The CMNC dance marathon will be held April 1, 2016 at PVHS gym. It costs $15 to register a dancer and the entry fee includes a Children’s Miracle Network t-shirt. Each dancer is encouraged to fundraise and support for the cause. The CMNC will be supporting UF Health Jacksonville and Wolfson Children’s Hospital.
