SJSO hosts women’s personal safety Class in Nocatee

The St. Johns County Sheriff's Office (SJSO) held a women's personal safety class on Monday, April 9 at Nocatee’s Crosswater Hall. The session, designated for girls ages 12 to 18, focused on situational awareness, facts about criminals, avoiding dangerous situations, crime statistics, being vigilant and general safety and security tips. An additional session on April 16 will focus on self-defense techniques such as strikes, kicks and escapes.
