St. Johns County has discontinued the tag re-entry program that required residents returning after an evacuation order to have a special county-issued resident or business tag.
In order to expedite re-entry following an emergency, evacuated residents and business owners east of the Intracoastal Waterway will now only need to provide proof of address with a driver’s license, state-issued identification card or another form of identification, such as a utility bill. Re-entry tags will no longer be issued or required for re-entry to impacted neighborhoods.
