The St. Augustine Amphitheatre is once again stepping up for local education by partnering with the St. Augustine Education Foundation, operating as Investing in Kids (INK!), to help fill The Bailey Group Tools 4 Schools Supply Depot.

On Saturday, Aug. 29, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., INK!, together with The St. Augustine Amphitheatre, The Bailey Group and the St. Johns County School District, will host a Stuff the Bus collection drive at The St. Augustine Amphitheatre Farmers Market.

For those unable to attend the Stuff the Bus event, essential school supplies can be donated through Aug. 28 at The St. Augustine Amphitheatre by placing items into the designated Tools 4 Schools bin located inside the box office, which is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday-Friday and 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. “We are incredibly grateful to once again partner with The St. Augustine Amphitheatre for our annual Stuff the Bus collection drive at this iconic community venue,” said Cathy Newman, executive director of Investing in Kids (INK!). “The Amp has become the perfect gathering place for our community to come together in support of St. Johns County teachers and students. As families prepare for the new school year, this event provides a fun and easy way for our community to help ensure our classrooms are stocked with the supplies students need to succeed.”

“The St. Augustine Amphitheatre is proud to stand alongside INK!, The Bailey Group and the St. Johns County School District to help ensure local teachers and students have the supplies they need to thrive,” said Dianya Markovits, The St. Augustine Amphitheatre’s public relations and partnerships director.

Tools 4 Schools is a community-based classroom supply initiative that aims to reduce the out-of-pocket expenses for educators and ensure that both teachers and students have the tools required to succeed in the classroom. With many of the nation’s teachers spending upwards of $1,000 of their own money on school supplies, INK! fulfilled and delivered more than 2,600 teacher requests for school supplies, with a total value exceeding $143,000.
