Workshop offers tools, tactics for mystery writers

Join two powerhouse thriller writers for a full-day immersive workshop that breaks down the craft and tools of mystery writing — whether you’re starting your first novel or refining your next.

The Double Vision: Tools & Tactics Writers Workshop, hosted by Northeast Florida Sisters in Crime, features award-winning authors JD Allen and Tammy Euliano, each bringing unique strengths to the table — from gritty noir investigations to pulse-pounding medical thrillers.

JD Allen wrote the Sin City Investigation Series, which includes “19 Souls,” “Skin Game” and four other books, and has published multiple short stories and romance novels.

Dr. Tammy Euliano, a professor of anesthesiology at the University of Florida, writes the Kate Downey Medical Mystery Series, which includes “Fatal Intent” and “Misfire.”

Workshop Details

When: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, July 26 Where: San Marco Community Center, 1936 Hendricks Ave., Jacksonville. In-person and Zoom access are available.

Fee (includes lunch): $80 members / $100 nonmembers. Register by June 20 for the early sleuth discount: $50 members / $70 nonmembers
