Ocean Palms Elementary School has named this year’s Teacher of the Year, Faie Pellegrino, and School-Related Employee of the Year, Vicki Morales.
“They bring such dedication, joy and a true team spirit to everything they do,” said Tiffany Cantwell, principal.
Pellegrino, the school’s guidance counselor, has been at the school since 2017. She works tirelessly with the other teachers, OPE families, and staff to help students develop socially, academically and emotionally.
Additionally, she has assisted with many programs throughout her time at OPE, working with the fifth-grade student ambassadors, overseeing the school’s Otters in Need Program, serving as the School Advisory Council chair and more.
Morales, registrar and data operator, has been the welcoming face of OPE since 1997. She is often the first person new families meet, welcoming them with open arms and setting them on a path of success. Due to her teamwork mentality, she often pitches in to help wherever needed.
These honorees help to make Ocean Palms the place where “every day, everyone, everything matters.”
