93 works featured at JAM exhibit

The Juried Art Member (JAM) 2026 exhibit kicked off Friday, Jan. 16, with a well-attended reception at the First Coast Cultural Center (FCCC), 6000B Sawgrass Village Circle, Ponte Vedra Beach.

In all, 93 pieces by 45 local artists were exhibited and judged in three categories: photography, 2D works and 3D works. Winners were:

Photography

• First place: Heidy Weaver with her photo, “Magnifique Garlique”

• Second place: Linda Caden

• Third place: Michael Cenci

• Honorable Mention: Cynthia Spitzer

2D Art

• First place: Helen Curran with her painting, “Santorini”

• Second place: Jackie Woolf

• Third place: Julianna O’Hara

• Honorable Mention: Sandra Harrington

3D Art

• First place: Michael Cenci with his furniture, “Demilune Table”

• Second place: Michael Wodrich

• Third place: Jackie Woolf

• Honorable mention: Norbert Ploetz

The winners will have their own showcases next year and also received a cash prize.

In greeting attendees, FCCC Executive Director Silvia Romero said the JAM reception was the center’s biggest event yet.

Other participating artists were: Leslie Allen, Julie Allen, Lori Avampato, Razvan Balotescu, Miles Batt, Darline Braz, Qi Bruce, Jami Childers, Earl Coggins, Yoan Corrales, Donzleigh Dowie, Christine Dragonetti, Eileen Dyson, Sandra FitzSimmons, Sue Garofalo, Teresa Graham, J.R. Huber, Chana Kurinsky, Aisha Mcburnie, Martina Munzar, Bob Nickerson, Kristen Perry, Glenn Perry, Penny Pollock, Robert Rosenblum, Che Russell, Glenn Sablich, Midge Scelzo, Marlene Scheer, Sheryl Sherwood, James Staman Jr., Marianne Voight, Janet Wilson and Bart Woloson.

The exhibit will be on display until Feb. 12.
