Ponte Vedra withstood a third quarter barrage by St. Augustine by pulling away in the final quarter to earn their 18th victory and 14th in a row. The normally stingy Shark defense gave up 27 points to the visiting Yellow Jackets in the third stanza before tightening the reins in the final period to make the final score read 70-55.

Ross Candelino led another balanced Shark offense with 20 points, with Luke Pirris, JT Kelly and Nathan Bunkosky each adding 11. Kelly scored eight of his 11 points in the final quarter. Bunkosky added a career-high eight assists on the night, while Candelino had a great all-around game with six rebounds and four assists.

Ponte Vedra was scheduled to play tonight at home vs. Bartram Trail, but the game has been rescheduled for Feb. 4 due to COVID issues at Bartram Trail.
