Tell us about your artwork. What inspires you?
I am inspired by what I see on a day-to-day basis. I hope to capture memories, my own and those of others.
Tell us about your journey as an artist. What first sparked your interest?
I’ve always liked to draw and paint. (My interest) was sparked by various teachers and mentors.
Tell us about your art on display in the gallery.
My selections for the gallery hopefully reflect what people see locally.
What is your artistic process like?
Taking hundreds of photos then choosing what I feel will appeal to a wide audience. I paint in oil and acrylic, mainly in the studio but sometimes plein-air.
What do you like best about what you do?
Seeing that light in someone’s eyes when they connect with one of my works.
What does a typical day look like for you?
I am technically retired, so my day is planned around family, traveling and, of course, painting.
How do you like to spend your free time?
Keeping in touch with friends and family, reading and shopping.
What’s next for you and your art?
Continue to produce original works to rotate into the various venues that handle my works.
