A sidewalk sale hosted by Coldwell Banker Vanguard Realty – Beaches (CBV) and CBV Cares recently raised more than $800 for Mission House, a Jacksonville Beach nonprofit organization dedicated to aiding the homeless members of the community.

Agents, customers and area residents donated new and gently used items, such as home furnishings, clothing, accessories and sporting goods, for the sale, which was held Nov. 4 at the CBV beaches office.

“Although it rained most of the day of the event, we were overwhelmed with the support we received from the community,” said Carole Bayer, a CBV agent who coordinated the event on behalf of CBV and CBV Cares. “We work each and every day to help families find homes; it’s only natural we also work hard to support organizations that provide assistance to the area’s homeless.”

CBV Cares, a nonprofit organization founded and funded by CBV agents, is a vehicle for the local offices of CBV to strategically support organizations important to CBV agents and staff. Each office identifies opportunities within its hyperlocal community to support through in-kind and cash donations.

“CBV Cares is a unique opportunity for agents and team members to make a direct, measurable impact,” program chair and CBV agent Cindey Nordman said. “Throughout the year, our agents, customers and partners come together to assist groups and organizations, and in this season of giving, we are incredibly thankful for the many individuals and companies who make it happen.”
