The Web.com Tour Championship and Beaches Town Center (BTC) will partner on Monday, Oct. 3 to present a kickoff event celebrating the Web.com Tour Championship being held Oct. 6-9.

Dubbed the “North Beach Kick-off to Golf,” the evening will feature restaurants of the Neptune and Atlantic Beach neighborhoods, exclusive St. Augustine Distillery cocktails, a Craft Beer Garden and live music. In addition, a singer/songwriter village and merchant marketplace will bolster the inaugural event.

The event’s epicenter will be located in the middle of Atlantic Boulevard from East Coast Drive to First Street. There, an Epicurean Food Village where featured BTC restaurants – including Mezza Restaurant & Bar, Ocean 60, Flying Iguana, Ragtime Tavern, Slider’s Seafood Grille, and Hawkers Asian Street Fare – will serve food direct from their kitchens.

Streets will be closed off to aid with the transition between the Craft Beer Garden and St. Augustine Distillery tents. In the St. Augustine Distillery tent, a variety of craft cocktails will be served, including Watts Juicery’s 30 Watt Rue’s Juice. A dollar for every Rue's Juice sold goes to the music therapy program at Wolfson Children's Hospital.

Premium wines will also be served and merchants from the Beaches Town Center will present a curated collection of their stores on First Street, and visitors will be guided south towards the courtyard at 200 First Street where Southern Grounds will host local singer/songwriters including Mere Woodward, Katie Grace Helow, and Calahoney.

Attendees can also anticipate performances by Bonnie Blue, Saltwater Grass and The Corbitt-Clampitt Experience.

“We are thrilled to partner with the Beaches Town Center on this exciting evening of food, drinks, and entertainment,” said Adam Renfroe, Web.com Tour championship tournament manager. “The 2016 Web.com Tour Championship will incorporate the look and feel of the beaches area as we mesh one of the top locales in Northeast Florida with rising PGA Tour stars who will soon become household names.”

The North Beach Kick-off to Golf is free to attend and will take place from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday, Oct. 3 at the Beaches Town Center. All proceeds from the event will benefit the Beaches Town Center, the central business district of the Neptune and Atlantic Beach neighborhoods. All alcohol tents will be CASH ONLY. Locals are encouraged to walk or ride their bikes; parking will be available throughout the Beaches Town Center except where street closures are being enforced.
