Beatrice Lorraine Buckles died Jan. 31. Beatrice was born in Brookfield, Massachusetts in 1926 to the late John and Helen Rohan. It was during that time with the airlines that she met the love of her life, Dan Buckles. Dan and Bea were married in 1948 and lived in Farmingdale, New York. Bea worked for AT&T as a long-distance operator while Dan was working in the clothing industry.

Bea enjoyed many passions including gardening, golfing and was an active member of Ponte Vedra Beach Club where she was a former WGA President. Bea was a longtime parishioner of Christ the King Catholic Church and later Our Lady of the Sea. Bea was the treasurer of the BCC&SS social club and a member of the Jacksonville Sister City organization. But Bea loved to dance!
