Bernadette Hadaway, 68, of Jacksonville, died Saturday, June 9, 2018, at the McGraw Center for Caring. Bernadette was born on Feb. 23, 1950, in Joliet, Illinois, to the late Charles and Margaret Rapp.
Bernadette graduated from the Texas Women’s University. She was employed by JCPenney’s marketing department and later William Sonoma of Dallas. She enjoyed reading, traveling in her Lexus, going to the beach and spending time with friends. She also enjoyed visiting churches and cathedrals. She was a member of the Rosary group and the Dinner In-Newcomers group.
Bernadette was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Kathy.
Bernadette lives on in the hearts of her husband, Roger Hadaway; children, Matthew and Lorelle; daughter-in-law, Adrienne; brother, Charles Rapp, and spouse, Jeanne; and a host of extended family and friends.
A Celebration of Bernadette’s life will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, June 30, 2018, at Our Lady Star of the Sea, 545 A1A N., Ponte Vedra Beach, FL 32082. Refreshments will follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Community Hospice at 4266 Sunbeam Road, Jacksonville, FL 32257 in her honor.
