Beth El Sisterhood Fashion Show gives to the community

Beth El Sisterhood’s annual fundraiser fashion show turned out to be a success for both Beth El and its charitable causes.

The fashion show was held Nov. 1 at the Beaches Synagogue in Ponte Vedra Beach.

“We had a record crowd in attendance,” said Sherill Herzfeld, the fashion show chair. “It was a packed house at Beth El and everyone enjoyed themselves.”

The show featured fashions by Athleta of Town Center, Carla Shoes & Accessories of Ponte Vedra Beach and custom beaded cuffs by Erica Mesquit.

Community outreach is a priority for the Beth El Sisterhood. “Tonight, we collected donations in conjunction with Jewish Family & Community Services for a large number of Holocaust survivors in Jacksonville living under the poverty level,” said Herzfeld.

During the event, Colleen Lloyd Rodriguez from JFCS discussed the organization and how the donations will help enrich lives in the community.

“It was astounding to hear how poorly they live and what the JFCS does to help them daily” said Herzfeld.

Modeling the outfits were Beth El Sisterhood members. They had a “glam squad” to get them ready for the show that included Susan Birch with her Dior makeup team and Sara Marvin with her Lux Hair Studio team. A prosecco bar with berries and finger foods by Jessica Day Healthy Gourmet was also served.
