Bolles student-athletes commit to colleges

Ponte Vedra residents Charlotte Joseph and Santana Starks and St. Augustine residents Caleb Barnes and Aleda Cashwell were among 12 Bolles student-athletes representing seven sports who were honored on Feb. 4 for committing to a particular college or university to continue their athletic and academic careers.

Family, friends, classmates, coaches and faculty gathered in Davis Gym on the San Jose Campus to celebrate this well-deserved achievement. Athletic Director Rock Pillsbury welcomed everyone and coaches introduced their respective athletes.

The following Bolles student-athletes were honored:

Women’s Cross Country/Track & Field

  • Charlotte Joseph, University of Richmond

Football

  • Caleb Barnes, Charleston Southern University
  • Ryan Ingram, Wagner College
  • Reid Koelbel, University of West Florida
  • Santana Starks, Lindenwood University
  • Andre Tarrance, Keiser University

Men’s Rowing

  • Noah Wasserman, University of San Diego

Women’s Rowing

  • Lizzy Watkins, Syracuse University

Softball

  • Aleda Cashwell, Rollins College

Men’s Swimming and Diving

  • Dillon Brigman, University of Tampa

Women’s Swimming and Diving

  • Clara Peris Diaz-Varela, Long Island University
  • Christanya Shirley, University of Arkansas at Little Rock

This was the third of four college commitment ceremonies planned at Bolles this school year to recognize student-athletes as they commit to colleges. Twenty-eight Bolles student-athletes were honored on Nov. 12, four were honored on Dec. 3 and another ceremony is planned for April.
