In light of the school closures due to Hurricane Irma, four clubs within the Boys & Girls Clubs of Northeast Florida will offer a free two-day membership for kids ages 6-18 Sept. 14 and 15 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
“Although the damage from Hurricane Irma is vast in our communities, we are proud to be a safe haven for children and teens whose families have experienced significant loss," said Paul Martinez, president and CEO of Boys & Girls Clubs of Northeast Florida. "On behalf of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Northeast Florida, we are grateful for the generosity, thoughts and prayers from our National Boys & Girls Club and from supporters across the country."
The following clubs will be open: St. Augustine (THE PLAYERS Championship) Club, NFL YET Club, The Bridge Weaver & Learning Zone Clubs and the Beaches Club. Fun, safe and educational activities will be provided. Youth must bring a bagged lunch and a book to read.
Boys & Girls Clubs help kids achieve great futures by providing a safe and fun space, an engaging club Experience and caring professionals to guide them along the way. As a leading youth development organization, Boys & Girls Clubs see the possibility in every young person and are committed to being a voice and a resource for all youth in America.
