Show to run Feb. 27 through March 7

Christ Episcopal Church singers, dancers and actors will perform “Bye Bye Birdie”, a Tony-award winning musical classic beginning Feb. 27.

The story revolves around a New York–based songwriter who finds himself in trouble when his client, teen idol Conrad Birdie, is drafted into the Army. Albert’s secretary, Rose “Rosie” Alvarez, comes up with a last-ditch publicity stunt before he is sent overseas.

The Winner of four Tony Awards, including Best Musical, “Bye Bye Birdie” will be presented by the Christ Church Creative Academy and directed by Lee Hamby, with musical direction by Tim Root, choreography by Niki Stokes and costumes by Amy Dewberry Hancock.
