More than $800 was raised in support of Mission House’s continued efforts at a recent community yard sale hosted by Coldwell Banker Vanguard Realty.

Held July 30 in the parking lot of the Coldwell Banker Vanguard Realty Beach office in Ponte Vedra, the event was a success thanks to Coldwell Banker Vanguard Realty realtors’ donations and the community support of the event, according to Carole Bayer, a CBV Cares board member.

Bayer said the company is thrilled that together with the community, they raised the amount they did on behalf of Mission House.

Each year, Coldwell Banker Vanguard Realty selects a local cause to support under their CBV Cares program. This year, Mission House was selected because of its efforts on behalf of the homeless in the beaches area, Bayer said.

Located at 800 Shetter Ave. in Jacksonville Beach, Mission House is the only day facility that serves the Beaches homeless community, providing clients with food, clothing and support seven days a week. In addition to hot meals, Mission House offers showering facilities and toiletries, a change of clothing, haircuts, spiritual services and medical care through the Mission House Clinic. Clients are paired with case managers, who provide one-on-one assistance and develop a program aimed to restore the client’s independence.
