Letter: Congratulations to Nease teacher and Peace Corps volunteer

Posted

On behalf of the 300-plus First Coast- returned Peace Corps volunteers, we want to salute Cordes Lindow, teacher at Nease High School, for receiving C-SPAN’s Teacher Fellowship Program.

Cordes served as a teacher, in Hungary, with the Peace Corps, (1991-93), and later in Washington as a Peace Corps staff member. Her Peace Corps experience set her on a path to teach global citizenship. Her students at Nease High School, and their parents, are the beneficiaries. Peace Corps turns 60 this year.

Returned volunteers, like Cordes, have been providing superb service to their communities, in all walks of life.

We hope Congress, and Rep. John Rutherford, will provide funds for the approximate 20,000 qualified applicants for 4,000 positions in 2022.
